2020 Cornerstone International Group Virtual Conference

Communicating, and a sense of Community, are a foundation of Cornerstone International Group. Covid-19 took away an important part of our organization – our Annual Conference. This year we are having a Virtual Conference on September 10th. It will be about 2 ½ hours long. The Virtual Conference will begin at 9:00 am EDT (GMT -4). The conference theme reflects the power of sharing – and will include information about where we are, actions we will be taking, and things individuals have done in their markets during these challenging times. There will be emphasis on interaction among members, getting to know each other better.
This is similar to a “principals meeting” where only those members who are in significant roles in members’ organizations attend.
Advanced registration will help us make the small group interactions most impactful by pre-assigning attendees to breakout rooms. Members will get to know other members they may have had little interaction with previously.
The format is an “all hands” meeting where general information will be shared, group breakout rooms for interaction among members, then back in a general meeting, concluding with additional sharing.
Small groups of members will be placed in breakout rooms, where each member will introduce their organization in some detail (2 minutes), then each will share what they have done in their local market that is having the greatest positive impact on their business today (3 minutes). At the conclusion, each breakout group will select one idea they will present when all return to the full meeting room.
Each breakout room will have a leader who is responsible for keeping the discussions on topic, moving at a fast pace and presenting the “one idea” to the group. Each will also have one member who records the ideas/actions that are presented. At the end of this conference all these ideas will be consolidated into a document that will be shared.
We will provide a template with the information we suggest members share about their organization, as well as information about themselves and family prior to the Conference.
In the days before the meeting there will be scheduled times when members can log into Zoom to confirm it is working properly on their computer. During that time we can provide basic technical support if needed.
On September 10th please log in at least 5 minutes prior to start time.
